HONG KONG
Men icke sa nicke.

We thought it was going to be fun to compare Hong Kong with the "real" China. But the fact is that we haven't noticed many differences! In many ways we think that Hong Kong feels more "Chinese" than Shanghai.
During our days here we've walked around a lot in the city. We've been in a nice park, we've been to different markets, we've been to shopping malls, etc. And, we've gotten disappointed. Because as we well know by now not everything turns out to be the way you except it to. Today we went to something that we were mostly excited about! We were going to ride cable-cars up in the mountains with an amazing view. But nope. It was closed for 5 days for renovations. So sad. Then we were going to a view point, but the smog and the fog was really bad, so we couldn't do that either. And, last but not least. Now in the evening we were going to watch a laser show by the water. But it was cancelled because of earth hour. Unlucky today? Yep.
The first day here was really cold! Windy, some rain and a really raw cold. From 35-15 C felt weird! But yesterday and today felt better.
Hong Kong hasn't impressed on us too much. It really isn't a special city, of our opinion. Also, we actually feel kind of unsafe at some places.
It might have been better if we could've done all the things we wanted to. We have to admit that we've been dreaming away in our thoughts many times, back to the beautiful beaches in the Philippines.
Here you can see some pictures from our days here:

We were at a street with tons of animal-stores. They are stored in such small cages. So sad.

How cute isn't this Chow Chow?

Some pretty rough areas
