HOI AN
Så, Hoi An. Vilken fantastiskt mysig liten stad. Helt klart vår favorit i Vietnam.
Otur. Men what to do liksom?

Finally some better wifi!
So, Hoi An. What a fantastic, cozy little town. Definitely our favorite in Vietnam. Narrow streets, a lot of nice little cafés and restaurants and in the evening they light up a bunch of beautiful lanterns. Soo cozy!!
During our days there we didn't do anything super special. We walked or biked wherever we went (just that was wonderful), we went to food markets and regular markets, we went to temples, we just walked around town, we had fika's (coffee+pastries), we had drinks, we had good food, we went to the night market with the magical lanterns. Yeah, we basically just wandered around and had a nice time. Oh yeah, and all off this in company of our American friends. The once that we met on the "cruise", if you don't remember.
Oh and as if this couldn't get any better, our hotel was sooo nice and had an AMAZING breakfast buffé!!! It was like a dream breakfast. Especially from what we're used to.
Just like in Hanoi and Hué, the weather wasn't the best. Rainy, and kinda cold. (Except for the last day, it was a little bit better.) The same day as we left, the weather got super nice. Annoying, but what to do?
After three lovely days in the beautiful town we continued to the next place. Yep, unfortunately we don't have a lot of time at every place. And there are sooo many other things that we would love to see in Vietnam. But since the visa is only for 14 days, this is the way it will have to be. Anyways, we flew to Ho Chi Minh, and took the bus the day after to Mui Ne.
Mui Ne is about 5 hrs from Ho Chi Minh. Nice and warm weather! Finally!! We had sure missed that. It is also by the ocean, which we also had missed. Unfortunately though, the beaches were super dirty.
In Mui Ne more signs were in Russian than in English. They even played Russian music at some restaurants. Invaded by Russians basically.
During our two days there we rented a motor bike. It went a lot better than the last time we rented one, haha! Here they drive on the right side, which made it a lot easier. We drove to check out some sand dunes, which was really cool! Except it was pretty dirty there too, unfortunately. While we were driving around we found a super cool place. (You'll have to see the pics.) For a while we were at the beach. But we spent a lot of time just riding around on the motorbike, checking out the area. Unfortunately Mui Ne didn't impress on us at all. Only the sand dunes.
Now we're in Ho Chi Minh, which we'll tell you more about another day :)

Hoi An at night. Magical.

The breakfast!!

Ron, (one of the American friends), got interviewed by tv!

Vietnamese coffee

Food market

Gahh wish we had more room in our backpacks!

Our new friends!

In Mui Ne. The owners of the hotel did not speak a single word English. After multiple attempts of trying to make them understand us, by sign language, English, and even google translate, we ended up calling our friend Tunne, in Sweden, who speaks Vietnamese. He had to speak to the owner for us. Soo funny. We laughed really hard about it.

The sand dunes!

The cool place we found. We think that it's a part of the sand dunes. Because it is all in sand.

Philip is way too tall for the chairs in Vietnam!
